the bravery shown by you against the Turks on
the Liman of Otchakoff and as a mark of her
high favour, has graciously been pleased to
present you with a sword with an inscription
commemorating your valour I transmit it to you
in the full persuasion that the favour of the
Sovereign will excite your zeal to distinguish
yourself by fresh exploits and I remain with
particular consideration
