Necessity in which he lat undertakes to demonstrate that
the doctrine of necessity leads to conclusions Which are
some of them false & rather absurd — The following paragraph
is transcribed from his letter —
— "And one for your own perusal & your friends
Bentham the Usurer, and Nail & Nail's brother — I
have great confidence in the Soundness of your 4 heads &
the fitness of them for Mathematical Strict reasoning. I take
it for granted you will all dislike, & distrust at first,
