<p>The General Punishment for perjury may<lb/>
be at all costs <hi rend="underline">Procession</hi>; and besides<lb/>
that Fine and Imprisonment at discretion<lb/>
up to 7 years. But if any damages<lb/>
<add>not corporal</add> accrues to an Individual or would have accrued<lb/>
in consequence of the Perjurer's being<lb/>
credited, the Punishment may be in the 1<hi rend="superscript">st</hi><lb/>
case equal to that for Theft: in the 2<hi rend="superscript">d</hi><lb/>
half as much as for Theft - or at any rate, the<lb/>
Punishment in the 2<hi rend="superscript">d</hi> case may bear<lb/>
that proportion to the punishment in the 1<hi rend="superscript">st</hi>.</p>

is not admitted, or where the Punishment<lb/>
for the offence charged should be Death, as Treason, breach of Quarantine, the Tongue<lb/>
may be first cut out, &amp; cast into a fire.</p>

The General Punishment for perjury may

in consequence of the Perjurer's being
credited, the Punishment may be in the 1st
case equal to that for Theft: in the 2d
