in Mon Place, Lambeth. — About five o'clock in
the evening three fellows, perceiving the family
absent, cut a pane of glass in the parlour window,
by which means they forced back the fastening,
entered the house, and deliberately packed up the
whole furniture; went and lighted a candle at a
neighbouring baker's, and came out without detection,
the neighbourhood supposing the family were
moving their effects.

Friday morning, between five and six o'clock,
the house of Mrs. M—, in Park-street, Grosvenor
Square, was broke open and robbed of plate to the
amount of 150l. The villains got over a very high
wall, and forced open a back door; but previous
to this, they had attempted several of the windows
in the front of the house; one of which they had
nearly got open. Though a number of other articles
were in the lower part of the house, they took
nothing but plate — and after staying a considerable
time, went out at the street-door, and took the
key with them.
