any body reputable responsible person be a security, to a certain amount
for his good behaviour? will any body such person undertake
to find him employment for a certain time?
Is there any other disciplined course of life which
he would betake himself to in preference; such
as the military or the naval service?
At any rate no man who has been taken
up or examined on suspicion then be it ever
so faint, of a crime of the class in question
should be dismissed untill he has given an been examined
account of touching the manner in which he has subsisted
himself for a certain time preceding, suppose
