It may then be set or fixed with the Acid Solution in
the usual way. —
If after Printing it is found that some parts require
to be retouched, wash off all the Gum, and dirty water,
several times that no particle of Gum may
remain which would prevent the writing Lithographing
Ink from attaching itself to the
Stone. When the Stone has become dry, retouch the parts
required and allow the Stone to remain half an hour.
Cover the surface with Gum Water and then rub the Stone,
or the retouched parts with a piece of Sponge which has
imbibed a small quantity of printing Ink. The Stone
should be placed for a short time in the Sun or before
the Fire. — Afterwards proceed to Print as before,
when the Stone has become cold.

We now use it moderately sour so that it produces
