"Madrid aug. 16th.

"The fury of the clubists of the Fontana d'Or was never
so violent as the day before yesterday. The principal orators concocted
& violently vehemently demanded the impeachment of the Ministers
of War and Marine as "enemies of liberalism & the cowardly
hierarchy of a foreign faction.*

* The Gazette de France, from which we have quoted the above
says, "By a foreign faction is meant all the legitimate Governments
of Europe."
