the Gentoo Law, limbs are lopt oft on the

the case of the eye it would be called excision,
performed with a sharp instrument. It might be
executed by corrosives, by pro or by [a variety

already mentioned on the occasion of other Corporal
Punishments, and which it would answer
no purpose to discuss anew.
