☞ Hunt out all co-offenders for the purpose of making
them contribute to compensation. If too numerous
to be all punished failing reasons for preference, set
them to draw lots. Under English law, such investigation
wd be mostly impracticable; and in many cases, might
extinguish the necessary evidence not so under JB's
system.
