<p>On the return of Mr Blaquiere in September 1823 the<lb/>
 
Committee extensively circulated his report on the state of<lb/>
 
things in Greece, &amp; he <del>communicated</del> <add>stated</add> that the exertions of<lb/>
 
the Committee had excited strong interest in that country<lb/>
and had given much encouragement to the patriotism of<lb/>
the Greek people.  At this period, the Honorable Colonel<lb/>
Leicester Stanhope tendered his services to proceed to<lb/>
Greece as the Agent of the Committee.  His offer was<lb/>
immediately accepted, – &amp; it is due to his benevolent and<lb/>
efficient efforts, to read the note which was communicated<lb/>
to him when, having been summoned back from Greece<lb/>
by a mandate of HRH, the Duke of York, he gave<lb/>

On the return of Mr Blaquiere in September 1823 the
Committee extensively circulated his report on the state of
things in Greece, & he communicated stated that the exertions of
the Committee had excited strong interest in that country
and had given much encouragement to the patriotism of
the Greek people. At this period, the Honorable Colonel
Leicester Stanhope tendered his services to proceed to
Greece as the Agent of the Committee. His offer was
immediately accepted, – & it is due to his benevolent and
efficient efforts, to read the note which was communicated
to him when, having been summoned back from Greece
