<p>(a) &sect; 37.  "When such offender shall be finally discharged,<lb/>

sum of money for his or her immediate subsistence<lb/>
as the Committee shall think proper, so as such<lb/>
sum shall not exceed three pounds, nor be less than<lb/>
twenty shillings, in case such offender shall have<lb/>

year and so in proportion for any shorter term; ....<lb/>
and if such offender, at the end or other determination<lb/>
of his or her term shall procure any reputable<lb/>
Master of a Ship, or Tradesman, or other<lb/>

Service, or provide him or her with proper employment<lb/>
for one year then next ensuing, the<lb/>
sums to be approved by the Committee, he or<lb/>
she having served accordingly shall be entitled<lb/>
at the end of the year to another sum of money,<lb/>
equal to that which was allowed to him or her<lb/>
at the time of his or her dismission."</p>
<p>By &sect; 56 a similar provision is made in the<lb/>
case of <del>of</del> convicts discharged from the Hulks.</p>

Note.
