The Prisoners pay Garnish when they are on board?
None is paid or demanded.

When the men are sick I don't object to
their friends bringing them food, such as Milk, Greens,
&c

Those that died were buried at first along the
shore: since I have a piece of ground behind
the Butts where they are now buried. The Burial
service is read by one of my Officers.

I am generally on board about twice a
week & I stay the whole day. I say every part
of the Vessel, except the Hospital.

There are Boys on board too young for Labour:
I have thoughts of employing them in picking
of oak- – I think they mostly came from
Hick's Hall.

There is one man quite blind on board, which
can't be employ'd at all.

I employ the Boys as Cabbin and Swobbing-Boys

The Convicts may wear their own cloaths of
choice: if they don't choose it I cloath them.

Our cloathing is a Heavy jacket, worsted stockings,
a cap and shoes.

I don't allow them to buy cloathes; if their
friends bring them some I permitt it.

I allow them shirts.

They are obliged to shift every Sunday: they
may wash themselves every day: some do, others do
not.

There is an Hospital in each Ship. The healthy
men
