of August 1777 – they were rather sickly when I first<lb/>
attended them – there were two Hospitals.  One was<lb/>
too small &amp; I recommended it to be inlarged wch was<lb/>
done – there were 24 sick then in both Hospitals chiefly<lb/>
with Fevers &amp; Venereal Complaints – I <del>believe</del> <add>believe</add> the<lb/>
People brought the Disorders with them as they<lb/>
generally died between their Coming &amp; the 10<hi rend="superscript">th.</hi> or 12<hi rend="superscript">th.</hi><lb/>
day – they were most fresh People.</p>
