Suppression
Whether this letter was or was not subjoined annexed to
the Memorial, of which it stiles itself exhibits itself, as an Appendix,
and whether in that character it was or was
not read at the Board along with the Memorial
or at the next Board after it according
to the date of the next Board, would probably appear
in a search made in the Treasury Books: The and the
same observation applies to the reference which
your Lordship will find made or portended to
be made soon afterwards to the Secretary of State's
Your Lordship's) office. From the whole tenor of the business
it would thus be to be inferred, whether it were
probable or possible the omission, if it did take place, could
have originated in mere inadvertence, or in any
other design than the injurious and immoral treacherous
one above mentioned.
My reason for suspecting the say an act of
suppression in the case of the document in question,
is its being such flat introduction to the fact
alledged afterwards in the this Minutes, as the
ground or at least among the grounds on which
the distinction declared intention of relinquishing the establishment
was relied for its justification.⊞ ⊞ See § 13. L and § 15. N.
