14 Feb 1802§ 8 Establishment

F1 (a) The reception given to this letter, was of itself little
less than a declaration that it never should be.

F1 (b) In the Shekinah, or Presence Chamber, as above.

F2 (a) On what occasion, or through what channel it
first reached me, I do not at present recollect. It was soon afterwards
avowed, insisted upon, and never departed from
by Mr King.

F2 (b) At that time at least, I had no response
of any other who views of a different complection, on
the part either of Mr King, or the Duke of Portland.

F2 (d) See to 28th Finance Report of that year.

F3 (a) Note subjoined to the Original. They reckoned up
15 other rooms, into which (as into any Rooms)
Prisoners might be put: but which were not designed
for Prisoners.

F3 (b) Note subjoined to the Original. Upon enquiry
of an Architect, the encrease of the expence of building, since
that Prison was finished has been 30 per Cent. Adding
this 30 per Cent to the above sums, the expence to
be charged for the purpose of comparison with the expence
of a Building now to be erected will stand
thus –
