§ 11 Disarmed

I.1 (d) Reasons – various: one was the impossibility
of settling the mode and expence of the foundation,
for want of a sufficient acquaintance with

I.1 (e) Another obstacle, which might have
escaped my memory, had it not been for this early

that to with a little common discretion might have
passed for self-created self produced, what infatuation for
Honourable Gentlemen to point out come bring forward with difficulties
which they themselves had been hard at work upon were seen, in the face of
day, manufacturing them for the purpose. He
was in hopes, perhaps, of a sparring match between
his Sollicitor and me.

I.2. (a) The Memorial that follows presently [I ]
I had by the time recovered from my dejection, well
enough to do my own exercise, instead of trusting to
my Tutor to do it for me.

The good news from Mr Wise, was the consent
of his Agent to accept of a reasonable price. See [F. ]
