Evidence
Contemplated in a proper point of view, the picture here given
will be found not less exhilarating than correct. Had the mischief
been throughout the work of uncontroulable nature, all remedy relief would
have been hopeless, patience the sole resource resignation the only course: being as it will
be found to be, in by far the largest proportion the work of human
industry, relief is within reach: what that which industry has accumulated
