Sinecures

Of the title matter contained in Column 3 the
title is constitutes an object of no inconsiderable practical importance.
For by those few words, the influence of which extends itself
over the whole of the information exhibited by these Reports,
a cloud of obscurity and ambiguity is spread over
the whole mass.

What is the quantity of public money bestowed wasted upon the peoples money put into the pocket
of
the producer here in question upon each one into the pocket of those favorites
of royalty and fortune? what

What is the aggregate amount of the money thus
to such a degree worse than wasted?

Such is the information Under In By these two questions
stands expressed an intimation of the sort of information of which
in relation to the subject parliament and the people stood really in need.

Unfortunately to neither of these questions is anything
like a satisfactory answer given in this Report in the body
of information thus presented.

1. Not to the last: because sinecures are the articles
of which for the every remedial purpose of the number is requisite Suptra and
the list of Offices executed by Deputy forms but a part
of the whole list of Sinecures. [☞ This belongs to all-comprehensiveness.]

2. Not so much even to the first. For upon the face of it
as presented by this title, the information thus presented
is not that which is wanted. What is wanted is the
neat amount: what purports to be afforded is the gross
amount: that is to say the neat amount confounded
throughout with neither sum which in every instance may
be different, and by which the neat amount is accordingly in each
every instance rendered undiscernible.

(a) Importance of just arrangement?
