1. Evil 6. Evil by pretence
for depredation. Principal
Exemplifications.
Monarch from lower title,
raised to King. To
a King belong Palace,
throne, crown, sceptre:
to all, splendor necessary:
ex. gr. gold and expensive
stones.
2. By the new title to respect,
appetite for more,
produced by the same
causes, is excited.
Admitted into fraternity
of Old Kings, the new
must equal them in
splendor.
3. To rival the ox, the
frogs burst themselves:
here they are burst by
the overgrown frog.
4. Shewn here how deplorably
judgment may
be debilitated by delusion
and prejudice.
Always as primarily
necessary is the Great
Baby's Instrument of
corruptive and delusive
prejudice spoken
of. Worse than useless,
it is spoken of as more
valuable than the good,
on pretence of securing
which it is kept up.
Unprovable, its usefulness
is assumed. To the
question what the good
of it, sole answer silence.

For the name of the Empire,
Austria substituted
to Germany: the Sovereign
of Austria being despotic,
of Germany titular only.
12. English King would not
be Emperor, because the
delusion might have been
shaken by Parliamentary
Discussion.
13. French King they wd.
not make Emperor, because Usurper Bonaparte
had been the Usurper,
who had been seated by
fear, not unmixt with
love.
