the decease of the survivor of the said Jeremy and<lb/>
Samuel Bentham be some</p>
 
<p>And whereas <del>the <add>said</add> Buildings it appears</del> by a<lb/>
Report made to the <add>Honourable the</add> House of Commons by a Committee<lb/>
of the said House and dated the 22<hi rend="superscript">d</hi> day of March <del><gap/></del><lb/>
1784 it appears, that according to <del><gap/></del> <add>the first</add> estimates made<lb/>
by Mess<hi rend="superscript">rs</hi> Blackburn and Hardrich, <add>Architects</add> of the <sic>expence</sic><lb/>
of <del>building</del> <add>erecting</add> <del>a</del> Penitentiary Houses fit for the reception<lb/>
of 900 <del>Convicts</del> <add>Prisoners</add> according to the plan presented<lb/>
by the Statute of the 19 of his Majesty chapter 74<lb/>
the same would have amounted to the Sum of £210,352<lb/>
making for the said <del>Jeremy Bentham</del> <add>hereby intended</add> number of<lb/>
<del>1000 being the <add>least</add> number <add>herein intended</add> to be committed to the charge<lb/>
of the said Jeremy Bentham under the said that of<lb/>
the less S<gap/></del> <add>1000 prisoners the sum of</add> £233,724:8:10½,<hi rend="superscript">[+]</hi><lb/>

the reduced estimate<lb/>
