For the purpose of affecting a personal and epistolary
instruction amongst [men of letters] the litterati of all
nations; together with a periodical delineation of
the actual state of science and the arts and sciences
in England; under the direction of
J.P. Brissot de Warville.

It was in the Lyceum at Athens that Aristotle
formed that Peripatetic School, the principles
of which commanded the admiration
of the universe for a long succession of ages.

In The new Lyceum we have presence to announce
it is nothing of aims however at nothing less than founding a new sect however is farther
