<p>Art. 20 Case  .  Circumstances unequal:  <add>Wrongdoer one: wrongee one.</add>  Wrongdoer<lb/>
 
poor: wrongee rich.  For compensation to the rich wrongee<lb/>
taken from the poor wrongdoer the sum which <del>had there</del> <add>under the name of <gap/> would have been imposed upon him had the case been one</add><lb/>

ten, twenty, a hundred times greater from the loss of the<lb/>
money than the enjoyment reaped by the <add>rich</add> wrongee from<lb/>
his acquisition of it.</p>
<p>Art. 21.  Note that <del>by</del> <add>it is here assumed, that in virtue of</add> a preceding or <add>here</add> ensuing rule<lb/>
the poor wrongdoer has in this way <add>mode</add> or by ulterior punishment<lb/>

<p>Art. 23.  Moreover it will be for the Judge to be aware<lb/>
of the case in which the poor wrongdoer is but an instrument<lb/>
in the hands of some other person or persons<lb/>
by whom a portion or the whole of the profit of the offence<lb/>
has been, or was intended to be, reaped:  in this case, he<lb/>
will use <add>employ</add> his endeavours in bringing to justice <add>all</add> such latent<lb/>
co-delinquers <add>co-offenders</add>, and impose upon the poor wrongdoer a <add>penalty</add> punishment<lb/>

§. 1. Compensation Rules for the Judge

Art. 20 Case . Circumstances unequal: Wrongdoer one: wrongee one. Wrongdoer
poor: wrongee rich. For compensation to the rich wrongee
taken from the poor wrongdoer the sum which had there under the name of would have been imposed upon him had the case been one
