Prize 1805 1809: 1805 §. 94, 95

The case business being in its own nature somewhat complicated,
complicated because diversified by other
three modifications,

As Apply applying to each of the four modifications which the
circumstance of place admitts of as above apply
the three modifications which the circumstance of
person admitts of, the result gives on the whole twelve modifications, some if not all of them requiring different
provisions, each of them at any rate a separate
mention.

The case being thus in its nature somewhat complicated
the greater the complication, the greater the demand
for the assistance method – for of the clearest and plainest most intelligible method
that the of the case admitts of.

The method that appears to present the plainest best title to
that those epithets may be thus described.

1. Beginning with the simplest case, go on proceed
from thence by gradual steps to the most complex.

2. The simplest case is that where in respect of place the place of
in which the first step in the business is taken is the place viz. the application for payment, is made to the place wit Greenwich Hospital, is the place
operation in which the final and essential part of it the business
to be performed viz. Greenwich Hospi the place viz. payment of the money check is performed, in
which the first or initial step is and where in respect of person, the person by whom
the application is made is the person himself to
whom the money is due: viz. the person by whom
the service in question, the service which the money
is destined to remunerate employed in remunerating has been was performed.

3. This case being provided for, then the place spot continuing
the same, proceed next to provide in the first next place
for the case in which at that same place the application is
made by a representative of the person enlisted, as being
supposed alias: made

other sort of representative of the person entitled, he being supposed dead.
