1825 Jany. 25
Procedure Code

Ch.VI
(4) §.

5
Jury trial perjury no
otherwise to be got rid
of than by giving effect
to the opinion of the
majority

The all-embracing Jury trial perjury should no otherwise at no other power be got rid
of than by giving to the majority or in other cases the power
of the whole: a measure the effects of which could not without considerable
reflection be interpreted.

6
Valuation perjury to
be got rid of by suffering
the property to go to
the right owner

But the -imputing perjury and the valuation perjury
might be got rid of at no higher price than the mortification
attending the of suffering the property to go or remain with
the right owners, and among of the whole run of heroes when
in the chamber of ennobled Chancellors and Judges the country
has for so many ages been adorned with, not one has
ever been found brave enough to take upon himself the same
mollifying task by which the benefit of clearing the country
of this perjury has been thought found worth the trouble.

To All members of the any House of Commons All Members of the House of Lords

7
Recognition of inefficacy
by House of Commons

When by the whole of the country the utter inefficacy
of the ceremony has been in so final a way/such direct way recognized, it may seem almost little
better than a superfluity to speak of the indirect recognition
expressed by any House of Commons that was sat: If it was
thought of any importance that it should be employed in a case when be requisite at the result of which
nothing more that the welfare of A and B is at stake would
it be thought ever have been left unemployed or required in the result
of which so many matters are continually at stake
Could the Commons have quietly left the Lords in the extensive possession
of it, could the and Lords have decently with common decency been kept to themselves
the exclusive possession of it, if for any such purpose
it had in the opinion of either been worth a straw?
