So much for the principle emanating from the greatest
happiness principle; and, in the writer of genealogy, standing
occupying the place next to it: a principle by which of that
universally applying Now for that principle is the true one is the expression
of the only reason or say justificative cause by which
consideration which ought to be accepted as a reason for —
as the reason or justificative cause of — that, whatsoever it be
which is done

to operate in the character of the actual or say the historical
or say the actual principles or efficient cause of whatsoever
has been or is done

Nonsense of these
principles

Lastly come certain phrases which purport to be
expressive each of them of some principle in principle, and
which being furnished, and on every occasion in most peoples minds in every bodys minds are regarded
not only as designations of ideas, but as constituting
each of them as different justificative cause
or averment for whatever is done or proposed to be done

These are: 1. First principle of justice. 2. Every principle
of Justice. 3. Natural Justice 4. Equity: with others
of the stamp agreeing all of them as well as these as coming
with indispensable propriety under the denomination of penance
principles. Not as an instrument of vague vituperation
but as a word capable of producing to view with the most perfect
correctness the what meant to be conveyed. In point of fact By Nonsense is
universally meant a sign or aggregate of signs by which
nothing is presented to the mind in the character of a thing significant.
In Westminster and other Schools for the purpose of initiating
Scholars in the art of making intelligible verses in the
Latin or Greek languages allowance is given to them to string together
words chosen for the sake of the metre without regard made to
the sense of any of them separately taken or collectively. Nonsense
verses is the name given to them: given to them and without reproach:
this being their only name and on that the score of the
services derived from the use of them, an honorable one.
