I.  Of SIMPLE IMPRISONMENT</head></p>
 
<p>1. – Privation of the liberty of beholding an<lb/>
 
unlimited variety of rural objects, and other<lb/>
objects that afford amusement to the <hi rend="underline">eye</hi><lb/>
and <hi rend="underline">imagination</hi>.  Loss of simple or<lb/>
general Pleasures.</p>
<p>2. – Of taking pleasurable <hi rend="underline">exercises</hi> that<lb/>
require an unconfined space;  such as riding<lb/>
on horseback, or in a carriage, hunting,<lb/>
shooting;  playing at cricket, Golf, Bowls <hi rend="superscript">c.</hi><lb/>
Loss of Simp. Organ. Pleasures.</p>
<p>3. – Of exercising any <hi rend="underline">function</hi> of <hi rend="underline">Magistracy</hi><lb/>
of which the exercise is limited to a certain<lb/>
place, or any <hi rend="underline">public trust</hi>:  for instance in<lb/>
this country that of Justice of the Peace,<lb/>
Commissioner of the Land Tax, <add>Comm:</add> of Turnpikes,<lb/>
Vestryman, Corporator, Parliamentary<lb/>
Elector &amp;c.  Loss of Pleasures<lb/>
of Power – Pleas. of the Imagination</p>
<p>4. – Of partaking of public <hi rend="underline">diversions</hi><lb/>
attached to a particular place, such as,<lb/>
Races, Plays, Concerts, Balls, &amp;c.  Loss of Simp. Organ. Pleasures &amp; Pleasures<lb/>

– Of putting one's self in the way of<lb/>
chance opportunities of taking pleasure.<lb/>

EVILS OF IMPRISONMENT.
I. Of SIMPLE IMPRISONMENT

1. – Privation of the liberty of beholding an
unlimited variety of rural objects, and other
objects that afford amusement to the eye
and imagination. Loss of simple or
general Pleasures.

2. – Of taking pleasurable exercises that
require an unconfined space; such as riding
on horseback, or in a carriage, hunting,
shooting; playing at cricket, Golf, Bowls c.
Loss of Simp. Organ. Pleasures.

3. – Of exercising any function of Magistracy
of which the exercise is limited to a certain
place, or any public trust: for instance in
this country that of Justice of the Peace,
Commissioner of the Land Tax, Comm: of Turnpikes,
Vestryman, Corporator, Parliamentary
Elector &c. Loss of Pleasures
of Power – Pleas. of the Imagination

4. – Of partaking of public diversions
