Sinecures

Of those same five papers the second text, marked No 73 has
for its general title the words Scotland. Sinecures or Offices
wholly or chiefly executed by Deputy.

On framing or writing the title to the last preceding paper what it in
conception suspicion seems to have been entertained seems not to have occurred that in the United
Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland any place other than
England was to be found: for though in that paper no
Sinecures other than England those of which England has
it have fallen to the lot of England English soil to be productive are is
contained, yet to mark them for English yet for giving
intimation of that such their birthplace no word or other
indication has been was is to be seen employed.

On this occasion, the same being shifted, the mode and plan of
exhibition undergoes a total indication exhibits a very material change.

Columns indeed there as before. In that which occupies the lefthand Column
the words No of Paper may indeed be received as an abbreviated abridged
representation of the form of words employed in the last preceding
No of the Appendix viz. "No endorsed in each Paper and
as returned to the Committee. And for the 2d or middle Column But to the words Name of
the Establishment &c succeed the words Name of Establishment
with the &c.

But at the head of the 3d Column 3 instead of
Total annual gross amount of Salaries and Fees as have are to be seen
the words Total Mount of Fees and Salaries, and whether "gross" or
neat not being specified in this head we are left altogether
in darkness the dark, though perhaps not in quite so thick a darkness
as with the benef that in which by means of the word gross the
subject was on that former occasion can hath been since plunged.
