1826 Sept. 29
Review of Humphreys

Having thus Above are given in association to Mr Humphreys's specimen the its topical denominations
corresponding to the elementary parts distinguishable in
Mr Humphreys's formula of a Deed of Sale, in regard
to the ten clear principal species of Deeds of which formulas
are established by him – to wit Mortgage to wit and Family
Settlement. Spare not Neither time nor space at command
being sufficient for details I shall content myself
with exhibiting a list of proposed topical denominations

Of these denominations the aggregate will in each instance,
serve as a basis for the Code of the subject. These are
the topics in relation to which the aggregate of the
matter belonging to and contained in the Code might and should be
made to bear relation: and to these immediately or
by the intervention of others mediately might the whole of
the matter requisite in each such Code be referred

Of the quality and quantity of the matter if proper to
be contained in each such Code how these same intimates
conveyed: brief indeed in the extreme but for any thing more in detail
neither time nor space could be spared.

To the Letter press particulars on the occasion of each
species of deed might be appended, also in the manifold
made a map, as often as the posters chose to be at
the expence of it. By the manifold the distribution of this
graphical document would of course be as exclusive as that of
the discursual.

To each parish in which the land or any part of it is
situated may an example be transmitted there to be kept
in the Vestry Room with the Parish Register. So also to the Manor
Court of last recourse: so long as sadly inconvenient mode of possessing
or
property be continued.
