Sinecures
By bibles &c denial of justice more would mankind
on its own account never but for disgracing the government
of Delay and Sale evidence is brought forward by this Committee.
Magna Charta! Magna Charta! never without producing pain
bringing pain with it does that sound strike upon my ear.
Where dreading nothing amounting to nothing,
and deciding nothing affording no security
of affording any importance to an obligation and therefore
incapable of being violated, the principal is sounded
and the violation of it proclaimed as if it were
an act of sacrilege.
Where its decision is clear the obligation created
designated to
by it designated without ambiguity the import of it placed standing on high
beyond the reach of cavel that obligation violated
violated every day and by all those who should conform
to it, the mischief of the violation felt – felt more or
less by everybody and every year by thousands and
ten thousands to their utter ruin, there nobody speaks of it
there nobody cares about it.
No free men shall be dealt with so and so, except
by the judgement of two pens, or the law of land. Or
the law of the land and of what has been is is the law of the
land composed but of the acts and all the acts of those
whose acts by those who do not like them complained
