Wednesday Morning
Th Him, who the spirit of joys inspires
And crowns with beauty life's varied plan;
Who touches with Envelops in bliss the angel-choirs,
And strews sweet flowers at the feet of man;
Whose mercies are fairer, & brighter lovelier, & more,
Than the stars that shine in the milky way;
Or the that dance in the way; And bright as the drops round the fount that play,
All lives & breathes I sing – All lives & breathes in Thy love; – & all
Is bright with Shines in the effluence of Thy light.
Wherever the beams of the morning fall;
Wherever descend the shades of night;
Thy spirit is felt & thy influence seen,
And the cup of joy is full & flowing;
Thy smiles entices the joyous varied scent,
Thy energy leads & thy light is glowing.
The flower of the spring & the fruit of the vine
The drops of the fountain course waves of the streamlet ocean – the leaves of the grove
The streamlet hoar-frost that sparkles, the dew drops that shine
Are bright with Thy glory & with favor Thy light & Thy love.
Wherever there character wakes a smiling way
'Tis kindled in Thy benignity.
