ulterior mode of redress.

By Blackstone This case in company with the above mentioned here cases
are as brought together in neither neighbourhood. But the
of the four Volumes of what is writ consist the one in which
they are then brought together is not the first, but to follow:
the general head under which they are then brought together is
that of private Wrongs: of which having mentioned made mention
and therefore of redress, and then by the act of a party
as above that is to say without recourse to a Judge — he
flies off from the topic of wrongs, and proceeds to tell us of
the ulterior mode of redress, meaning to wit by recourse to the Judge
for wrongs of the enumeration and explanation of which
he poses to a wider distance [of which he gives no
not any measure]

of public as well.

☞ Note here is here giving his explanation of the functions and functioning Legislative
and Administrative departments under the head of the Rights
of persons, and but of the Judiciary Department under the head of
private wrongs: thing be they have cognizance of public wrong
as well as private ones.
