Art. 12. VIII. Titles of honor. As to this see Ch. IX. §.
Remuneration. The several grades being all of them excepting the lowest
so many titles of honor – being such in the very nature of the
case exempt from the possibility of being prevented prevention from being so, if for
argument sake it were desirable, as in this respect they will be to the Erudite
so or more will they be to the Private: when promoted proportioned to his advances in
the scale of rank grade will therefore be his advances in the scale
of honor: and this is as it seems desirable it should be.
