Constitut. Code

On Revolution considered as a remedy against abs misrule
a syllable is almost too much. Suppose it effected what good
would be effected by it or with it. Suppose the present King removed
where should be put found got a better? No where, in the ordinary causes of each already we are
threatened with a worse.

Revolution proposed in the character of a Revolution
suppose. The cause of the evil to be in the individual. But it
does not lie in the individual, it never has been in the individual:
it lies in the species: the species must be extinct or nothing
is done.

As well might you think of doing away the mischief of the
Inquisition system, by removing dislocation one Inqu from Inquisitor and locating substituting
another in his place: or that of the Press-licensing system by removing
a licensee, and locating another in this place.

By no men only by whom Revolution has been mentioned
can it have been seriously meant to be proposed. One of the flowers
of Oratory in this character alone has the word Revolution ever
shown itself.
