Ch. Nullification, and it's conjugates

Expositive

Art. 1. By nullification, understand a practice
whereby an act or portion of discourse is prevented
from being followed by productive of the legal effect which,
upon the fact of it it purports to be, and in the
ordinary state of the case, is intended to be productive
of.

Instructional.

Art. 2. The topic designated by this appellative
is a topic of primary importance.
The practice and the words employed in it, are among
the most efficient of the engines employed
by the hands of Lawyers, for in the manufacture of
human misery, by means of scientific and official
depredation and oppression.

On the occasions on which it is
commonly employed, it is productive of disappointment.
In so far as it is productive of this
effect, the practice is carried on in direct opposition
to the disappointment-preventing principle
– that principle which constitutes the
main foundation of the whole law of property,
an affords the sole reason why that which is
called a man's own, and commonly understood
to be his should be secured to him, rather than
suffered
