Of On the advantage that Note Annuities will have
over Stock Annuities, by the in respect of
superiority of duration, I will not insist here on
the present occasion, because, by this supposition, as to wor words it,
at the present time supposes, Stocks are not
yet "neat par" – that is near are not yet at the period, at
which which, if there be any such thing at that time, as the proposed Note Annuities, the universal redemption of Stock
Annuities either by extinction, or conversion,
into such Note Annuities, will can not but take place: a
proposition, demonstrated, I flatter myself had thought
in the printed sheets, that were before him,⊞ ⊞but yet desired by him, with his usual decision as will be seen presently+ +§.18 and upon what grounds. and this
so clearly, that evidence who everything,
who disputedenies everything has not
that ventured to design it. But this period –
being, by the supposition, not near, may be
supposed not to be in as yet in prospect:
for if it were, the superiority it of advantage which the Note Annuities paper would hold out
in point of permanency, with while the fall,
as soon as it took place, would be from
£2:19. almost £3 to not quite 2 3/8 per Cent, would surely
form no inconsiderable item in the catalogue
of their attractions.
