<p>viz. for the sake of <hi rend="underline">certainty</hi> <add>ignorance or negligence or ignorance</add> and that if by the professional<lb/>
 
agent of the party any one of those elements of legal certainty<lb/>
 
were to be omitted, the party to whom the injury had been<lb/>
done would be punished by the <gap/> the Judges with the<lb/>

for that a specification of this nature was absolutely necessary<lb/>

might be in danger of being more or less of its virtue<lb/>
by way of compensation for the strictness so far as concerned<lb/>
the <unclear>numbers</unclear> and even the species of the weapons that ought<lb/>
to have been or might have been thus employed, a good<lb/>
humoured latitude was allowed:  and that it was in the <add>within the<lb/>
bounds thus prescribed marked out by judicial severity</add> application of this latitude that the <unclear>sportiveness</unclear> of<lb/>
the junior inhabitants of the offices <del><gap/></del> is wont to find<lb/>
a part of its relations: –<lb/>
