Since the date of my last Codicil by value of my
properly having undergone considerable reduction, and
the prospects of my dear young friends John Flowerdale
and Richard Dunne received considerable improvement
I hereby withdraw the legacy of three hundred
pounds each which I had given them, and give to that
same amount of three hundred pounds a legacy to my
much younger friend who has lately been William Stockwell who now 24 June 1831
shaves me and is about to live with me, I give it to him in this manner: that is
to say to my close friend and Executor John Bowring
by the stile and site of Dr Bowring the said three hundred
pounds in trust to dispose of the same towards the maintenance
and education of the said Arthur William Stockwell until his
arrival at the age of twenty one which will be at a little
less than six years end: at which time of the said
£300 may be in the hands of my said Executor he is
hereby directed to pay over into the hands of the said Arthur William
: Stockwell: he will in the course of this time of 24
year mark pay the interest only in in upon the capital
from time to time as he sees most for the advantage of the said
Arthur William Stockwell.
