J.B. to Herald on Peel Law Reform and Bentham

Supposed superseded

Mr Peel is a true genuine disciple of Bade in his character of preacher the trumpeter preacher of sham
when he quotes: well did the one well does the other understand, that
as in other work so in that of reform delay is inactive while it lasts: while well nor the one well is
the other determined that in every such work the delay shall last exactly as long
as by any means he can contrive to make it last. To
wole give artillery salutes without "noise", to have entertain
to make charges without alteration –
such in his when Judge-made law and its abominations
are the subject matter not nor his revolver.

On this policy it is that he risk his fame own trumpet while blowing it, and he
does well: for no other ground resting place so good even as this will be
ever found for it.

By this it is He is the very picture, so
he himself assures us of Oliver Cromwell as drawn by Walter: and it is by this feature
the aversion to noisy charge that he is so
