4) Personal Injuries Simple. Exemptive Circumstances

Other exemptive circumstances referred to the head of Disablement — why. correspondent circumstances. But for the reason of the
exemption to take place, the production of such pain
though it may be an object must not have been the
ultimate object of the intention: the pain must of
the party in question must not have been the motive.
I mean here meaning the exterior motive. The ultimate
object of the intention must have been not pain
of any body, person nor of any kind, but the Disablement
of the party pained, or some other event to wit a temporary disablement calculated of a nature to prevent his
doing mischief: this or some other event [totally
different] [entirely distinct from pain.] which although
it should have been the consequence of such pain is in it's nature entirely
distinguishable from it.
