<p>For answer to the first of these two questions, it will be necessary<lb/>
to bring to view several diversifications of which a contract<lb/>
to which the legislature of a State is <unclear>one party</unclear> is susceptible.</p>

<p>1. Contract between the Legislature<add>Government</add> of the State <add>in question</add> and<lb/>
individuals or bodies of men belonging to this same State.</p>
<p>2. Contracts between the Legislature of the State in<lb/>
question and the Government<add>Legislature</add> of this or that foreign State.</p>
<p>3.  Contracts between the Legislature of the State in question<lb/>
and <add>this or that</add> individual belonging to this or that foreign state</p>

For answer to the first of these two questions, it will be necessary
to bring to view several diversifications of which a contract
to which the legislature of a State is one party is susceptible.

These are

1. Contract between the LegislatureGovernment of the State in question and
individuals or bodies of men belonging to this same State.

2. Contracts between the Legislature of the State in
