On the one hand the Revisors might be encumber'd by a multitude the relevancy of
which is questionable, on the other, on the other, natural relevant ones might be witholden
(and in consequence finally disauthenticated) under the apprehension of their being not so that they were not so.

In order to make it as near as may be a matter of indifference in point of pecuniary Interest to the Readers
whether the Collection were published speedily or otherwise, so that they may be
left free to use that degree of expedition which their judgement embrassed by
any consideration but that of anything but the exigencies of the business matter committed to them shall
pronounce competent, their appointments may consist of a yearly Salary to a
certain amount and adequate <add>proportional</add> a gross Sum to be paid at completion, from apportioned to the
