Tothill Fields. Plan of Division — with Observations

from the termination of Rochester Row,
to the termination of Storr's Gardens, together
with a frustrum of a nearly similar & equal
triangle constructed on the same base, such
as shall give the content abovementioned, exclusive
of a breadth of 30 feet on each side of
the triangle for Roads, though, on the unbuilt
side, little, if any, space will it is supposed
to be requisite for that purpose.

4. That the whole of the Waste behind Rochester
Row (including the spot of about half an
acre adjacent to the Bridewell) be also allotted
to the Dean & chapter: except that

5. Out of it be allotted to the Parish or Parishes
a sufficient portion for the erection of a Poor
House —

6. That the remainder, forming about 2/3 of
the whole, be granted by the Dean & Chapter to
the Crown, on a lease for 1000 years (reserving
the Manerial rights) for the reception of the
Penitentiary Establishment —

7. That in this grant be comprised the site
of the existing ruinous Poor-House, called
the Five chimnies: powers for the pulling it
down being accordingly provided in the Act —

8. That the portion thus leased to the Crown
be charged with the obligation of receiving Rubbish:
& that the portion, reserved to the Dean
& Chapter, be discharged from every such obligation,
should any such be found to exist.
