counterfeit than written wordshandwriting for the purpose of authentication

of coursethe Principal Office must of course furnish
at least one written signature. Whoever
has this business principally in charge, accidents
or necessary indulgences may for a time remove
him from his post: as often as this happens
a an Under Clerk or Deputy will be come to be employ'd, and the word Deputy
will be to be added to the words Offering Clerk. For the
sake of responsibility the name of Deputy employ'd should sign
his own name, not that of the Principal the name
signed by the Deputy, should be — not the name of
the Principal, but his own
