as a supplement in the way of in the name of a supplemental price in addition to the value of certain Lands the premises
at Battersea Rise abovementioned as found by a preceding Jury on the
8th day of Sept.r 1782
Gentlemen of the Jury
In pursuance of the Statute of the
of his Majesty ch. [ ] year note here
Whereas in pursuance of the Statute Whereas on or about the 10th day of September
of the 19th year of his Majesty a certain spot 1782 in pursuance the a Statute of the 19th Year of
of ground his Majesty Ch. 74 a Jury being empanelled to inquire into the value
of certain Land at Battersea Rise consisting of 80 Acres
or thereabouts did thereupon p assess name as the true value
thereof the sum of £6600 [+] [+] And Whereas in
pursuance of anoth
an Act of the 34th
Year of his present
Majesty the said
Land has been pur was on thereabout
the day of 1794
purchased and entered
upon for the intended a public
purpose thereby intended, and the
said sum of £6600
was accordingly paid for the same the particulars of
which had appear n by the Record of the
said Verdict here produced present to you. And Whereas
by reason of a difference between that period and the former and
the present the latter of the said two periods in respect of the value of ready money
as compared with Land it is supposed that the
said Sum of £6600 although it were would have been the just
value at the of the said premises Lands at that sum it wa
may perhaps had it then been forthwith paid and wanted
forthwith upon the finding of the said Verdict, wanted did might nevertheless want
more or less of being so at the want of its being time when it was actually
paid
