The Penalty of such a Friendly Guardian Bond shall be £100:
unless but if provided that if the principal Obliger may shall have procured some some
one other equally fit person to be bound with
him: and in such case the Penalty said same used shall not
be more than £50 for cash.

And whereas if strict scouting were not
to be made into the characters and circumstances
of such Bondsmen Guardians, persons of bad character
in confederacy with an un reclaimed Penitentiary
man might stand forth as to offer the present
proffer themselves in that such capacity with no other view
than to enable him to betake himself anew
to evil courses Be it enacted that the
Governor shall not be obliged bound to deliver
over to any person either proffering himself in the capacity of
of a Friendly Bondsman Guardian the body of any quondam Penitentiary Prisoner nor to create any
deed of Assignment of the Guardianship Wardship of such
quondam Prisoner, unless such the person so
proffering himself shall be an Housekeeper
and shall in that quality have produced a
report made payment to some Parochial or
other legal Government tax nor unless he have justified
himself in manner herein aforementioned as worth the sum of
£200, (or if as above mentioned he have a Co obliger or worth £200,
