<p>I have just received by a Courier from Petersburgh yours of Sept<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> 23<hi rend="superscript">d</hi> with 5 boxes.</p>


<p>Saddle &amp; Bridle most elegant; but I am not horseman enough to

know what there is particular in the latter.</p>
<p>6 Saddle Cloths besides the one on the Saddle</p>
<p>2 Pairs of Boots which fit <sic>excedingly</sic> well
<lb/>
Spurs one pair Silver &amp; another of leather</p>
<p>a dozen Handkerchiefs</p>

as they do not admit of the pen being immersed into or daubed by
<lb/>
the ink higher up than the nib. I had been ordering some <del>at our</del>

of the same form at our glass house here.</p>
<p>1 which has three <unclear>necks</unclear> likewise besides an opening in the middle. In this

sort I think the pen can <del>never be clean</del> <add>not fail to <unclear>ink</unclear> your fingers</add> after the first dip.</p>
