Police Revenue Report

Another expedient was — as to the Hackney Coach Office,
the local field in which the local field
in which the judicial functions are in respect
of their local field confined to the Metropolis
and its environs a field of jurisdiction already
covered possessed by the Aldermen of the City
of London the ordinary Magistrates of the four
circumjacent Counties, and the lately created
Offices of Police — to relinquish in like manner
the judicial functions of the Hackney Coach
Office to the several last mentioned authorities within
their respective local spheres — and as to the
business of granting licences, to transferr it
over in like manner to the Or Stamp-Office
as before.

A third expedient was applying to both offices
together was to consolidate the two offices into
one — preserving retaining their Commissioners and no
more for the management of the united business
of such consolidated office.
