My Lord,
Your Lordship's goodness in returning me the Letters
you had given yourself the trouble to peruse, and the
inclination you at the same expressed of casting your
Eye over others that comes from my Sons, or which
materially concern them, have induced me to offer
the Contents of a Port-folio to your further Perusal
They are what I mean to have properly bound up
together, when I shall be able to add a Sequel to the
Letter your Lordship has already seen that was
written from Bucharest the 27th Decr last, and which
I am waiting for with no small anxiety, more
especially as I find by a Letter from Riga dated the
26th Janry (a Copy of which I have added to this Collection)
that my youngest Son, by being gone 500, or 600
miles another way had never received his Brother's
Letter requesting either to see, or hear from, him at
Olviopol in order to facilitate his further progress
from thence to Critchoff; a disappointment that I fear
must greatly embarrass the Traveller, who upon his —
