You now see, Sir, a succinct Abridgement of the whole
that passed upon this occasion. The Prince, from the
first moment, shewed much regret for having given
me any offence; and in the whole Affair he conducted
himself with all the Coolness and as nobly as was
possible. It is a Justice that I think myself obliged to do him.

As to what regards my own Conduct in this
Renconter, I have laid it open to you with the
greatest simplicity. I submit it to your Judgment,
I desire nothing so much as to merit your approbation;
I have it extremely at heart to be able to merit the
favorable opinion of my Friends, & all honest Men.

I can learn nothing here of our Friend Mr Zeuthen,
perhaps he may be at Kritchow; salute him
infinitely on the part of
