Letter II

The space which the establishment might hope to fill tantalizing influence of the public eye

than that of its mere magnitude: and since the greater
the magnitude the greater the quantity of money which
it would place at the disposal of the manager, the
greater would be the variety it the power means it would afford
him of adding to the number and variety of
the sources attractions of attraction which it might be enabled to
afford.

it is impossible that the effect of any such reduction as that which the proposed reduction
as proposed should not be in a high degree in the scale
of magnitude should not be attended with a proportionable
reduction in the good effects its beneficial
influence.
